Spotlight: Oncidium twinkle
Onc (sotoanum) x cheirophorum) oncidium twinkle are hybrids. There are several varieties / colours.
Oncidiums are considered by some to be intermediate level plants, not for the absolute beginner. They need time to adapt and are not quick to bloom.
Care
Light
Filtered Light. Medium light seems best though these seem to be able to tolerate more or less light.
Humidity.
Twinkles like humidity. Most oncidium require 30-60% humidity. A pebble tray with water can help elevate your humidity.
Temperature
80 - 85F during the day, 55-60F at night.
Water
Water when slightly dry, these like moisture.
Media
Bark chips with some sphag moss.
Flowering
Many tiny clusters of flowers. Blooms in Spring and Summer.
Scent
Twinkles tend to smell like vanilla or honey and herbs depending on the variety.
